New Member Recognition Event

Each Golden Key chapter is tasked with hosting an event to induct new members. At these ceremonies, new members join their peers and are recognized for their achievements and are given a certificate of membership. The New Member Recognition Event (NMRE) allows attendees to network and meet student chapter leaders, other members, university administration and faculty and honorary members, as well as learn more about scholarships, member benefits and community service projects.

2017 New Member Recognition Event

We had an astounding turnout in 2017 of 200 new members. We were delighted to welcome so many new members and their families to the Concordia Golden Key Chapter. We also welcomed our two honorary members, Luca (Lazylegz) Patuelli and Karim Boulos. Additionally, we collected many non-perishables and school supplies that was donated to Christmas 4 A Cause.

Info from the 2016 NMRE:

Like every year, it was time to welcome our new members. We were very pleased to welcome many

new members and their families to Golden Key. We welcomed Shiann Whitebean as our guest speaker,

who received the Golden Key undergraduate achievement scholarship. We also welcomed our

honorary member for 2016, Kaleigha Kennedy-Noble. Kali is only 8 years old, but has raised over $2000 in the

past year for terminally ill kids.
